Articulation

What is articulation?

ASSIST (Articulation System Stimulating Interinstitutional Student Transfer) is the official repository of articulation for California’s University of California (UC), California State Universities (CSU), and private/independent colleges or universities.  It displays reports of how course credits earned at a community college can be applied when transferred to another campus in California. You can also explore majors at the UC, CSU, and independent colleges/universities by using their Transfer Major Explorer.  This website is best used in conjunction with a Lassen College Counselor.

Associate Degree for Transfer

Associate Degrees for Transfer were developed under Senate Bill 1440, which guarantees that if a student completes the required lower division coursework in preparation for transfer to a California State University (CSU) they will be guaranteed admission into one of the 23 campuses and to complete the Bachelor’s Degree in 60 units. Articulation for these AD-Ts has expanded to include Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU), Association of Independent California Colleges and Universities (AICCU), and some out of state universities. Check out these sites for more information:

Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG)

The TAG program provides an opportunity for a student who is interested in one of the 6 University of California campuses (UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Merced, UC Riverside, UC Santa Barbara and UC Santa Cruz). Each institution has its own requirements for admission and major. If you meet the requirements, you are 100% guaranteed to be admitted.

Additional Agreements

Lastly, if you do not see an agreement for the program you are interested in transferring to please search the campus by “transfer credit” some provide course to course equivalencies. Here is an example, click this link to University of Idaho (https://www.calstate.edu/apply/transfer/pages/ccc-associate-degree-for-transfer.aspx ), click on Transfer Course Equivalencies link and type in Lassen College. This will provide you with a list of courses to course equivalencies. Many campuses have a system like this one.

We are here to help. If you need assistance with exploring programs to find the one right for you, please refer to our Transfer Center.  If you need assistance planning your program at Lassen College or transferring to a university, please reach out to Counseling Office. If you do not see a course/program on one of these mentioned above, please contact us at lccarticulation@lassencollege.edu.

*The final responsibility for successfully achieving an educational goal lies with the student. Information found on these web pages is designed to be helpful; however, information is subject to frequent changes so students should always consult with a counselor to ensure successful transfer.
