Tuition and Fees

Enrollment Fees and Non-Resident Tuition

Beginning in Fall 2024 semester, the new Out-of-State/International tuition rate will be $385 per unit for 6.5 units and up.  The half-time rate for 0.5 – 6 units will remain at $216 per unit. 

Also, beginning in Fall 2023, the Student Health Fee will be charged at $1.25 per unit up to 12 units for a maximum of $15.00. 

California Resident tuition rate (In-State tuition) will remain $46 per unit. 


Students (California and non-residents) are required to pay an enrollment fee and, if applicable, non-resident tuition. California High School students are exempt from paying any registration fees according to Lassen College Administrative Procedure 5030. All fees are due at the time of registration. The fees structure is as follows:

California Resident Enrollment Fee

1 unit or more ..............................................$46 per unit

0.5 units …..................................................$23 per ½ unit

Non-Resident Tuition for 6.5 or More Units

6.1 or more units, including Enrollment Fee …. $341 per unit until Fall 2024
6.1 or more units, including Enrollment Fee .... $385 per unit beginning Fall 2024

Non-Resident Tuition for 6 or Less Units

1 - 6 units, including Enrollment Fee ............$196 per unit unit until Fall 2024
1 - 6 units, including Enrollment Fee ............$216 per unit unit beginning Fall 2024

Other Fees

Student Health Fee:   $1.25 per unit up to maximum of $15
Student Activity Fee:   $3
Student Rep Fee:   $2

NOTE: The fees listed here are those in effect at the time of publishing. Enrollment fees are subject to change through California State Legislation. Other fees are subject to change through Lassen Community College Board of Trustees action as judged to be in the best interest of the College. Please consult the current course schedule for the appropriate fees.

​Course Refund Policy

For full term classes in Fall or Spring terms a full refund is given if the class(es) are dropped  prior to 10 days after the start of the class.  
For all other classes the classes must be dropped prior to 10% of the class after the start of the class.  This will vary depending upon the length of the class.  For one day or two day classes, the class must be dropped prior to the start of the class.
