The purpose of the Next UPis to remove barriers that students from foster care often encounter when attempting to access or attend an institute of higher education. The Next UP aims to improve outcomes for foster youth students and former foster youth by providing the following key services and resources:
- Access to academic support and mentoring
- Assistance to navigate college and complete educational goals
- Help with textbooks and school supplies
- Additional financial aid
- Automatically eligible for EOP&S
- Recovery from trauma, wellness services, houusing assistance, and more...
