The WUE Tuition Rate is $69/unit.
The following states participate in the WUE: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. The following U.S. Pacific Territories & Freely Associated States also participate in the WUE Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands, American Samoa, Guam, Republic of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, and Republic of Palau.
To qualify for WUE at Lassen College, students must meet all the following requirements:
- Maintain a legal resident status in an approved WUE state or territory for at least 12 months prior to the first day of the semester for which the student is applying.
- Enroll in an Associate Degree program. Currently, all Associate Degree programs, including Associate Degrees for Transfer qualify.
- Certificate programs do not qualify for WUE.
- WUE Students must enroll in a minimum of 12 units per semester, excluding summer.
- If a student drops BELOW 12 units during the semester, the fees will revert back to Out of State charges and will result in the cancellation of your WUE Tuition Rate from that semester moving forward and it cannot be regained.
- Failure to be full-time by the last day to register for full-term courses will result in the cancellation of your award and will impact your renewal eligibility.
- WUE Students must maintain a 2.0 GPA and 67% completion rate each semester to remain eligible.
- Students who fail to meet the 2.0 GPA or 67% course completion rate may appeal the loss of their WUE eligibility if they experienced extenuating circumstances that prevented them from meeting these requirements.
- Students transferring from another college are eligible if they have not already completed a degree.
- The Admissions Office will review applications upon receipt and send award notifications to students following review.
- Incomplete applications will be disqualified.
- WUE awards are limited and will be awarded on a first come first serve basis prior to the application deadline.
- If awarded, a student is eligible to participate in WUE for a maximum of 2 academic years. Students that are declined for the WUE are welcome to attend LCC but must pay non-resident tuition. Students may reapply the following semester if their application was denied.
