This course covers intermediate river and flood rescue skills, including shore based methods, throw bag techniques, rope systems, and rescue watercraft. Students will learn hazard awareness, incident management, equipment use, victim search and rescue, technical rope skills, non-entry shore rescues, and incident termination. Certified to NFPA 1006 (2021) standards, it prepares participants for operational rescue roles. A supplemental fee of $81 (including $5 for materials) and a $76 State Fire Training FSTEP certification fee are payable at registration to Lassen Community College.
