​Aaron Dix​on Sr. graduated from Lassen High School in 1975. He attended Lassen Community College, and has been a resident of Susanville for 50 years.  He worked for the California Department of Corrections for 25 years.​

From 1983-2003 Aaron worked at the California Correctional Center, as a Correctional Officer; then promoted to Correctional Sergeant, at San Quentin State Prison, where he was responsible for providing training to staff. Later, he became an In-Service Training Assistant Manager and had the responsibility of overseeing San Quentin State Prison’s Training Budget, as well as provided training to all current and new staff at orientation.

Aaron is involved with the community as a youth advocate. He is the Tribal Secretary / Treasurer for the Susanville Indian Rancheria, and President of the Susanville Indian Rancheria Corporation (SIRCO). Aaron visits local schools, giving presentations concerning the massacre of “Papoose Meadows”; where his Great Grandfather was the lone survivor.

Mr. Dixon’s goal, as a LCF Board member, is to be able to oversee the Foundation Budget, to ensure students are able to acquire funds that will help them achieve a higher education.
