Steps to getting started at Lassen Community College
Step 1: Complete Assessment testing
Call in advance to schedule an appointment: (530) 257-6181 x8009
Step 2: Attend New Student Orientation
Call in advance to reserve your seat in the New Student Orientation that fits best into your schedule: (530) 257-6181 x8939.
Step 3: See a Counselor / Stop by the Financial Aid Office
Most new students meet with a counselor during orientation. If you are not able to meet with a counselor during orientation, make sure you do so before registering so you can get any required signatures and find out about other services that may be of assistance to you. If you are concerned about how you will pay for college, be sure to stop by the Financial Aid Office before registering for classes to learn about their programs and how they may make college more affordable for you.
Step 4: Register for Classes
Go to the Admissions and Records office to pay for your classes.
Step 5: Get your books
Go to the bookstore with your class print out given to you by Admissions and Records and get the books you will need for your classes.
Step 6: Attend class
Check your print out from Admissions and Records for classroom number and building. Look on the campus map located in the schedule or catalogue to find where your classes are located and, “Get to Class!”
