Answers to questions asked by LCC students

What if I don't have a major yet? Students are encouraged to meet with Lassen's counseling staff or the Career/Transfer Center to discuss their future. Under our Matriculation Plan, students are assisted with an educational plan and are guided to the appropriate courses to meet their goals.

What if I get a "D," "F" or Non-Credit Grade? Students may repeat a course in which they received a substandard grade, but it is not required. However, a "C" grade in all required courses is necessary in Lassen's programs. If you repeat a class in which you received a "D", "F" or Non-Credit Grade, the new grade will appear on your permanent record (if it is an improved grade).

How do I drop a class? It is the student's responsibility to complete the appropriate "drop" form from the Admission and Records Office. This can be processed through the 14th week of class or 75 percent of the term, whichever is less. A "W" will appear on the permanent record.

How do I get a copy of my transcripts? You must request a copy of your transcripts in writing with your original signature. Your request must include: Your full name while attending Lassen Community College, your Social Security Number, and your date of birth. The first two copies are free of charge and $3.00 for additional copies. The request should be sent to:
