CARES Act Federal Emergency Relief Grant

To address the pressing financial need of students due to the disruption of campus operations from coronavirus, these emergency financial aid grants are being made available directly to eligible students as outlined in the federal CARES Act legislation.  At LCC, eligible high-need students are FAFSA recipients with an EFC of $0-$2,000 who were enrolled in 6 units or more in spring 2020.  Students with an EFC of $0-$1,000 may receive up to $500, and students with an EFC of $1,000-$2,000 can expect up to $300, as long as they do not exceed their Cost of Attendance.

This emergency grant may be used for students' unmet financial need and unexpected expenses caused by COVID-19, such as food, housing, course materials, technology, health care, and child-care expenses.  Students that have a debt on their account are allowed but not required to use these funds towards paying off that debt.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the financial aid office at lccfinaid@lassencollege.edu or (530) 251-8849.
