Former LCC Student Ryan Stoneberg receives 2015 Nolan Ryan Award
Ryan Stoneberg was a standout student-athlete at Lassen Community College. He arrived in the Fall of 1993 and excelled in the Community College Baseball world. He was an All-Conference pitcher and participated in two Final Fours. After leaving Lassen he accepted a baseball scholarship to attend the University of Arizona in Tucson. Ryan began his strength and conditioning career in the minor leagues until being promoted to the “Major Leagues” for the 2014 Major League Baseball season.
Now you can add another award to the list for the 2015 World Series Champions. Ryan Stoneberg, Kansas City Royals Major League strength and conditioning coach, was named the recipient of the Nolan Ryan Award, named after the Hall of Fame pitcher, on December 5th at the Professional Baseball Strength and Conditioning Coaches Society Annual Meeting in Nashville, TN. The annual award, presented by Hammer Strength and Life Fitness, honors the professional baseball strength and conditioning coach whose accomplishments, as recognized by members of the Professional Baseball Strength and Conditioning Coaches Society, have earned him distinction in his field.
