Financial Aid There is a substantial amount of financial aid available for students. You may apply for financial aid beginning January 1st for the upcoming school year. Those who apply by the 30th of June and have the greatest need will be funded first. “What! It’s after the 30th of June” - then apply as soon as possible! Your application will still be considered, just get busy and complete the Federal Financial Aid application. Application processing takes about three to six weeks. Information and applications are available in the Financial Aid Office. If you have any questions about filling out the application, please feel free to call the Financial Aid Office at 251-8850 or 251-8849. Lassen Community College wishes to offer an educational program to all students regardless of their financial need. In an attempt to provide comprehensive student support programs which assures access to Lassen Community College, financial assistance is available. All Financial Aid at Lassen is administered in accordance with Federal and State policies. It is our belief that the family has the responsibility for assisting the student in meeting educational costs and financial assistance is available to fill the gap between the family and/or student’s contributions and the student’s educational costs. The Financial Aid Office has an open door policy and financial aid packets are available for all students. Although an appointment is not required, it is recommended that you let us know you will be visiting. Our office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, throughout the year.
