Clear goals that lead to personal satisfaction are the best form of motivation. For most people goal setting is not easy. To have confidence you must evaluate what is important to you, explore available career and educational opportunities, and develop a flexible decision making system that allows you to modify your goals as you discover new opportunities.

Lassen's career counselor has extensive training in the skills necessary to assist students through the goal setting process. Career Services assist students in making career decisions. A solid plan for success includes both a career plan and an education plan.

The Career Center is open to all students and visitors from the community. The Career Center offers a career information library, occupational interest inventories, individual counseling, and classes in career planning. Materials relating to job seeking skills, including interview and resume writing techniques, are available. Students who are uncertain about choosing a college major, or a career, can meet with the Career Counselor, Lisa Gardiner for further guidance.

The Career Center is located in the Student Services Building. You may schedule an appointment with Lisa Gardiner for career counseling by calling (530) 251-8842.
