​​​​The Lassen Community College Arts program provides a stimulating environment where students are challenged to develop their creative and scholarly potential through contemporary technologies, interdisciplinary and critical discourse.  Our facilities include: fully furnished ceramics lab, spacious drawing and painting studio, state of the art graphic design lab with industry standard software, and sculpture space with jewelry design workshop.

Areas of Study 

Ceramics: hand building and wheel throwing.

Digital Photography: photography with Microsoft Surface Studios, Digital SLR cameras and Adobe Creative Cloud.

Drawing: different styles, mediums, techniques and subject matter.

Graphic Design: creative design with Microsoft Surface Studios and Adobe Creative Cloud.

Illustration: storytelling and illustration with Microsoft Surface Studios and Adobe Creative Cloud.

Jewelry Design: hand building, enameling and forging

Painting: acrylics and watercolor.

Printmaking: etching, screen printing, linocuts/woodcuts, and monoprints.

Sculpture: different methods and materials.

3-D Modeling and Animation: polygon modeling, rigging, texturing, animation and compositing with Autodesk software, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Unity 3D.
