Dear Students, Colleagues and Community,

Welcome to the new 2011-2012 Academic year at Lassen Community College.

The community college system provides cost effective opportunities for all individuals to improve their job skills, prepare for transfer to universities or just pursue life-long learning.

Our campus is student centered, visionary, and delivers challenging and thought provoking instruction.

Our instruction program is delivered to students by a highly qualified faculty and staff. Learning and student support is our top priority.

In June 2011 the Accrediting Commission of Colleges and Junior Colleges notified the District of its decision to accept Lassen Community College’s Mid-Term Report. The next phase for Lassen Community College will be our Self Study report, due Spring 2014.

Simply stated, this means that the College is meeting or on the way of meeting all of the Accreditation standards set forth by the Commission. The Board of Trustees and administrative staff would like the community to know how pleased they are with the Commission’s decision and congratulate our faculty and staff for their outstanding work in accomplishing this long-term goal.
